Here is another edition of “blogger participation”. I’m going to begin a regular series of “blogging” posts where I’ll ask you to participate. This is a PHOTO ENHANCEMENT contest.
- I’ll pick a WINNER of each participatory event and post the blog and link and winning photo on this blog for everyone else to see which will result in a lot of new traffic for them.
- I’ll publish your winning photo in SeriousLife Magazine. You win, I win, Linky Tools wins… we all win because we all learn how to do better photos.
- I’ll do my own version of the enhancing this photo when I pick the winner. Everyone has different styles and techniques we can learn from.
Why should you participate? There are almost 10,000 Linky Tools users, growing over 1000 a month. SeriousLife Magazine has had issues get more than ONE MILLION page views. The holy grail of blogging is MORE TRAFFIC, NEW READERS. Do I need to explain further?
Why photo improvement? The purpose of photo improvement contests is obvious. Photos are a POWERFUL part of having an interesting, popular and memorable blog. These photo contests will give you LOTS of examples and tips on how to improve photos, AND give you a chance for some great exposure for your blog (rules and instructions can be found at the bottom of this post below the Thumbnail Linky).

- Save the original contest photo above to your local computer (right click on the image and SAVE AS).
- Take the photo and do your photo enhancements, improvements, stylizing, WHATEVER… there are NO RULES. The point is to take an average photo and turn into a great blog photo however you choose.
- Put your new improved photo into a blog post on your blog with any comments, instructions, demonstration or notes about how you did the improvement
- Come here, and enter your blog post into the Thumbnail Linky below.
- In two days, I’ll choose the winner(s) and I’ll link over to your blog post inviting people to visit you, giving you an opportunity to show your blog to our readers. I’ll also include your photo in the next issue of SeriousLife Magazine.

Hi Brent,
I came back to this site to check it our more thoroughly and saw where “this linky is now closed” was added to it. I didn’t take notice of it when I entered the contest so I don’t even know if my entry was timely or not. Have you announced the winner yet? Where? Just curious.
